Ra Ta Ee Ka Review by Kaliveera Kallimani

 Ra Ta Ee Ka ......

No reader shows a great enthusiasm in reading someone's AUTOBIOGRAPHY .....declaring it neither enhances our knowledge nor gives any thrill .it is the fate of each personal account contributed by the pen individuals .

  But...RAVISHANKAR HANJAGIMUTT....affectionately trimmed as RAVI HANJ ...hailed from DAVANGERE settled in CHICAGO...  brushed off my above opinion by mustering his spriteful memories inthe form of AUTO...titled RaTa Ee Ka . ..not just the basic letters of Kannada alphabet but it symbolises the writers prolific childhood memories and the way he passes through his further journey .

  Reading someone's autobiography naturally faces a question ..why should I go through the bundle of memories of a person whom I dont know ? But Ravi made us to avoid this question adroitly and Captivate The Reader to turn the huge amount of 384 pages  with a deep curiosity . He painted the picture of erstwhile Davangere with words and all necessary lines and minute shades . So ra ta ee ka blossomed as a master piece in the frame of a highly imaginative artist of letter world .

 Ravi emerged from a modest family of Davangere city the commercial hub of Central Karnataka ,looking attractive with moderate complexion ,fair tall round shape face with no beard or hair under is nose ,he is a person with a sense of humour , connoisseur  skill and sharp power of observation , he certainly has an opinion on everything he sees around him .

 Though it is a memoir of self remorse he successively turns it to belong everyone who go  through it . As the publisher attributes ..it is a familiar story of a curious child who give up observing the fundamental aspects of society and striving to find their place within the community , much like you, me, or any average individual .

       Here are some sample lines   ...

* Never hesitate to deliver harsh punches of truth .

* only a dalit can understand a dalit's pain .

* Limited consumption is relaxing over the limit is embalming .

* The glamour ,beauty and fame that seem to permanent were merely fleeting and transient .

* Romance is the privilege of the rich not the profession of the unemployed .The poor should be practical and prosaic (Oscar Wilde's practical principle )

* Hey ayyappa definitely you have three monkeys in your a** .

* I shifted my focus from rising my muscles to raising more monkeys in my a** .

* Come into my heart and be the reincarnation of everyday truth .

Wish to get more punchings...?? Please go through it .

Thank you Ravi Sir .
